Muscle Imbalance

A condition where one muscle or muscle group is stronger or weaker than its opposing muscles

What Does This Mean?

Muscle imbalance refers to an inequality in strength, flexibility, or function between opposing muscles or muscle groups around a joint. It can lead to poor biomechanics, increased injury risk, and decreased athletic performance and is often addressed through targeted strength training, corrective exercises, and flexibility work.
