What Does This Mean?
DOMS is the pain, tenderness, and stiffness experienced in muscles 24-72 hours after unaccustomed or intense exercise. It is caused by microtrauma to muscle fibers and inflammation, typically resolves on its own, and is a normal part of the recovery process.
