A condition caused by reduced oxygen levels at high altitudes

What Does This Mean?

Altitude sickness, also known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), can occur when ascending to high altitudes too quickly, causing symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. It can affect trail and mountain runners who are not acclimatized to high elevations.
